  • Funday Korea Networks (hereinafter referred to as “Company”) complies with all relevant laws and regulations applicable to information and communication service providers, including the Act of Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Personal Information Protection Act, Protection of Communications Secrets Act, Telecommunications Business Act, etc., and does its best to protect the rights and interests of its members.
  • In accordance with Article 27-2 of the Act of Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the company operates within the following personal information processing policies to protect the personal information of its information providers and to respond to personal information related problems in a prompt and smooth manner.
  • 1. Purpose of personal information collection and use
  • JobpassKorea (hereinafter referred to as “Website”), is an online recruiting website that mediates employment and recruitment activities of members, collects personal information to provide suitable services for effective employment support, recruitment, and careers development, and uses the collected information as follows. All information provided by members shall not be used for any purpose other than those specified below, and prior consent will be sought in the cases where the purpose of use is altered. In addition, if a member uploads personal information that the “Company” did not request on the website, the “Company” shall not use the information and shall not be responsible for managing the information.

  • Providing customized services, providing information and recommendations on services, identifying statistics and access frequency for service improvement and new service development, publishing advertisements based on statistical properties, offering event information and opportunity to participate
  • 4) Statistical analysis to identify employment and employment trends
  • 2. Information to be collected and method of collection
  • The “Website” provides free access to most content without additional membership registration procedures excluding certain paid services. In order to use the membership service, the member must input information in required items, yet there is no restriction on the use of service even if the member does not input information in the optional items.

  • Information on the contact person cannot be used for purposes other than recruitment, and the company verifies information on the recruitment manager to ensure smooth use of requested services and prevent damage caused by unauthorized use of information and publication of false information
  • When registering recruitment post: Contact person name, contact information (phone/mobile), email

  • When searching talent (viewing resumes): Contact person name, duplicate information (DI), department, contact number (phone/mobile), email
  • 5) Items to be collected when registering recommendation information
  • Personal information may be collected while the recommendation link is being generated, but it is impossible to identify an individual with this information.
  • Self-introduction written by the recommender, name/contact number when using text service, recommendation letter by the recommender, business card (name of recommender, contact number (phone/mobile)), work email, company name, company address, company phone number
  • 6) Items to be collected when using university and employment connection service
  • The following information will be collected to verify university membership and personal identification.

  • When using company call notification service, real-time employment fraud monitoring service: Caller’s phone number
  • 8) The Following information can be automatically generated and collected throughout process of using services or processing business

  • Model information of the device may be collected due to the nature of mobile services, but it is impossible to identify an individual with this information.

  • 3. Provision and commission of personal information
  • The “Company” shall use personal information only within the range notified in 1. Purpose of personal information collection and use, and shall not exceed the range without the prior consent of the member
  • A. Entrustment of personal information
  • The “Company” entrusts personal information as follows to improve its services and stipulates necessary matters for safe management of personal information under its consignment contract in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Any changes will be notified through a notice or the privacy policy.

  • B. Personal information may be provided or used with the consent of the members through reasonable procedures in the following cases:
  • 1) Affiliates: As of the effective date of this privacy policy, there is no affiliated company that receives personal information of individual members, and prior notice will be made shall changes occur in affiliations. In this case, consent will be sought individually, and no information will be provided without consent.
  • 2) Mergers and acquisitions: Members will receive prior notice If the rights and obligations of the service provider are inherited or transferred, and shall be given the option to withdraw consent on personal information.
  • 3) However, exceptions will be made in the following case.
  • If there is a request from an investigative agency pursuant to relevant statutes or in accordance with the methods and procedures prescribed by Acts and subordinate statutes for investigative purposes.
  • 4. Period for retention and use of personal information
  • The “Website” shall retain and use the member’s personal information only during the period of service starting from the date of membership registration. Personal information shall be destructed without delay in cases where members delete their account, withdraws consent to collect and use personal information, the purpose of collection and use has been achieved, and the period of use has ended.
  • However, in the cases specified below, information will be preserved for the following reasons and periods.
  • 1) In necessary cases in accordance with the provisions of the relevant statutes such as the Commercial Act, transaction details and minimum basic information shall be retained during the period prescribed by the Act.

  • 3) If the member doesn’t use the “Website” for the personal information retention period selected by the member (1 year, 3 years, account deletion), the account may be converted into an inactive account, and be suspended from use. In this case, the “Company” will notify the member 30 days prior to the “Inactive account processing date” by one of the following methods: email, written document, or SMS, and shall the member indicate his/her intention to use the “Website” after verification, the member may use the Website”.
  • 4) IDs will be kept permanently to prevent duplicate registration, etc.
  • 5. Procedure and method of destruction of personal information
  • In principle, the personal information of members shall be destructed without delay when the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved. The “Company’s” procedure of destructing personal information is as follows.
  • 1) Destruction procedure
  • The information input by the member upon registration is transferred to a separate database when the purpose is achieved (hard copies shall be stored in a separate document storage) and will be saved and destructed after a certain time in accordance with internal policies and other related regulations.
  • Personal information transferred to a separate database shall not be used for any purposes except legal purposes.
  • Personal information past the retention period (1 year, 3 years, account deletion) selected by the member shall be stored separately or destructed, and personal information that has been stored separately will be destructed without delay after 5 years.

  • Hard copies of personal information shall be shredded with a pulverizer or incinerated.
  • Electronic files of personal information shall be deleted through a technical method where restoration of information is impossible.

  • 7. Technical and managerial measures for personal information protection
  • 1) Encryption of personal information
  • The member’s personal information is protected by passwords, and files and data are protected by a separate security function through encryption and file locking.
  • 2) Countermeasures against hacking
  • To prevent damage caused by hacking and computer viruses, the company regularly updates its vaccine program and applies a vaccine upon its release when there is a new virus to prevent damage of personal information.
  • The system is installed in a zone with restricted access to prepare for external intrusions, and is under 24 hours surveillance through an intrusion detection system and vulnerability analysis system.
  • 3) Training of personal information processing personnel
  • Personal information processing staff consists of a minimum number of employees, and regular training on new security technology and privacy obligations are conducted as well as internal auditing processes for security maintenance.
  • 4) Personal ID and password management
  • The “Company” makes every effort to protect the member’s personal information. However, the company does not take responsibility for problems caused by the leakage of personal information such as IDs and passwords due to the member’s carelessness and the overall risks of the internet.

  • The “Website” contains various banners and links. In many cases they are linked to pages on other sites because of the contract details with advertisers or to reveal the source of provided content.
  • Once you are redirected to another website by clicking on a link the “Website” contains, it is recommended to review the website’s policy as the privacy policy of that website is independent of that of Funday Korea Networks.
  • 9. Personal information protection of children
  • Considering the nature of online recruiting, the “Company” does not allow children under the age of 15 to sign up as they are seen to be incapable of seeking jobs and building resumes.
  • 10. Personal information protection of nonmembers
  • Even without registering as a member, members may view most content on the “Website” excluding personal information members chose not to disclose and key information on resumes.
  • 11. Member’s rights and methods of exercising rights
  • 1) Members can view, privatize or publicize, and modify their registered information at any time through the ‘account information management’ function.
  • 2) Members may withdraw their consent to collect and use personal information at any time by deleting their accounts.
  • 3) Members may request the company to provide the matters referred to in (1) and (2) in writing, by phone, or by email.
  • 4) If the company cannot respond immediately to the member’s request or intends to turn down the request, the company must notify the member of the reason for the postponed reply and refusal within 10 days from the receipt of the user’s request.
  • 5) If the member has an objection to the company’s action, the member may submit a request form for withdrawal of consent to view and request personal information.

  • In case the current privacy policy’s content is added, deleted, and modified according to statutes, policies, or changes in security technology, members will be notified 7 days before the effective date through the website’s notification.
